Multi-purpose room
Before
This room was destined to be used as a home office and guest bedroom with bunk beds. It also needed to provide storage for numerous household items. The left-side wall contained three obstacles which prevented the space in the room from being optimally put to use: a fireplace, heater, and shallow storage closet.

During
The fireplace, heater and storage closet were removed and the wall completely refinished. Central heating and air was added to the space above the future storage closet. The wood outlining the fireplace was removed and missing tiles replaced. The wood outlining the room was stripped of its magenta paint and stained with clear varnish. 15cm baseboards were added to create a more finished look.

After
A large storage space was created at the back of the room. Using glass sliding doors for the storage space creates the illusion of depth to the room. The floor tiles were stripped and restored.
